A day after our restaurant visit, we went on the Portland Aerial Tram and took it to the top of Marquam Hill. The view from the top of the hill of the city is quite impressive, and so is the view going down the tram!

This past Sunday we stopped by a Japanese retailer called MUJI, known for taking on a minimalist approach to their product designs. It is the only MUJI out here on the western U.S. coast. Be sure you order your coffee or tea at the robot barista!

This past weekend, we took our friends to the coastal city of Cannon Beach, Oregon. My wife and I explored several beach towns on the East Coast but this one felt very unique, Cannon Beach gives off a bit of mountain town vibes. After our pizza dinner, we explored Powell’s City of Books off of West Burnside Street. Apparently this place is known as being the largest new and used bookstore in the world, as it occupies an entire city block and houses over 1 million books. A must visit in Portland if you’re an avid reader.

This past Saturday my wife and did more exploration in Portland and eventually made our way around the Pearl District. Lots of beautiful buildings. We then found a nice pizza place called Oven and Shaker. Apparently their in-house sourdough starter is over a 100 years old!

As for our meal, my wife got the beef stroganoff, and Huber’s specialty: Their Thanksgiving dishes. Their turkey was incredibly moist and flavorful and I’m upset that Huber’s made me realize I’ve been eating subpar Thanksgiving dinners my whole life until this point! Dessert was an Apple-Blueberry Cobbler, and a bread pudding.
