There two ways.

1) An old laptop with BIOS only needs MBR disk partition and no UEFI. You need to change that, means reinstall.

2) When I moved my old disk from an BIOS device to UEFI device I had the issue, disabled EFI in BIOS and had MBR instead of GTP (not GTP

).
For getting EFI after 1 year in legacy mode I made a clean convert. You need to check if its supported or mode by the mainboard.

That are the keywords for search.

To hard reset your laptop remove the battery for 10 min, then put itback and boot into BIOS.
There change to legacy or UEFI mode and all your settings.

There's an online community that shares the odd and delightful things readers find inside their old books. The subreddit, aptly titled r/ForgottenBookmarks, is all about the quirky and sometimes strange things people use as bookmarks, forgetting them only for its next reader to find many years later.

I enjoyed this beautifully written article about Robert Smithson's haunting Spiral Jetty along the shore of Great Salt Lake in Utah. Built in 1970, it was submerged under water for decades, only emerging again around the turn of the century. When I visited in 2013, the water was at the perfect elevation to define the delicate curling ridges of rock. I took this photo last week in the Rhön.

Early in the year, the Milky Way is still flat above the horizon and is perfect for panoramas. Later in the year, the Milky Way becomes more and more vertical above the horizon.

Ein innerstädtischer Schotter-Parkplatz grenzt an zwei Seiten an hohe Häuser. Eine hohe grob verputzte Fassade ohne Fenster fasst die linke Seite ein. Rechts wird der Parkplatz durch einen alten Backsteinbau begrenzt. Nur der obere Teil der Häuser liegt in der Morgensonne. Der Parkplatz selbst liegt im tiefen Schatten der umstehenden Häuser.

Eigentlich wollte ich hier sitzen, die Welt mit meinem Handy retten und kluge Beiträge schreiben. Stattdessen werde ich hypnotisiert von diesem kleinen Wesen, das mich so erwartungsvoll anschaut, als ob es seit Tagen nicht gestreichelt wurde. Verantwortungsvoll wie ich bin, lege ich mein Handy jetzt natürlich weg und rette zuerst diesen Hund – oder vielleicht rettet er ja gerade mich?
