I have the new #MeshtasticUI on my #Tdeck! Now I’m downloading #MapPNGs to an #SDCard and it’s taking hours to copy all of the #Images over. It is amazing what these other people have done!

FINALLY! A little clear time and headspace to work on a few bits and bobs. Been putting together my #tdeck #meshtastic setup, but I still also have my #picocalc and a wonderful @rc2014 picasso kit to put together! Progress in the coming weeks!
I already have a T-Deck Plus. Is it worth it to get a T-Deck Pro?
LILYGO T-Deck Pro is a mobile dev kit with an ePaper display, QWERTY keyboard, 4G and
Last summer LILYGO launched a pocket-sized mobile communications device called the T-Deck Plus that looks like a phone, but is really more of a mobile dev kit with a 2.8 inch IPS LCD display, a BlackBerry keyboard, and support for WiFi, Bluetooth, and LoRa wireless connectivity… but no support for cellular networks.
The new LilyGo T-Deck Pro is another mobile dev kit with a similar design […]

Rapidly moving my meshtastic nodes over to meshcore
Going very smoothly so far. Meshcore is notably very fast at message delivery and delivery confirmations back to the sender.
Thinking I'll leave my primary meshtastic infrastructure nodes up and build meshcore nodes to deploy next to them so as the network matures I can do head to head comparisons.
Just ordered my entry into the #Meshtastic world, the #Lilygo #TDeck. Super excited!
first boot experience with 2.6 was pretty great, sometimes you need to roll down a bit further to get an OK CANCEL modal to clear but so far no big blockers in operation of the device. i'm re-deploying keypairs and channels later today so i might have a different opinion heh
i also updated a heltec v3 but that's what i clip to my bag around town usually, i need to get a new node i can leave running at the house on WiFi and get that #BBS code sorted out! #meshtastic #newUI #tdeck #radio
ok #meshtastic #newUI for #tdeck: use the Konami Code in the web flasher, pick 2.6 and toggle MeshUI and go. hurray!
Made some on the fly documentation for Meshtastic 2.6 with MUI on the T-Deck, since there really isn't any outside of discord conversations.
Includes setting up maps, using bluetooth, and as many press-and-hold features I could find.
No pictures, sorry

Ooooo… lookit me, I’m a fancy 90s businessman. #meshtastic #lilygo #tdeck
i'm definitely missing something in my #meshtastic firmware builds for #tdeck. even if i use someone else's compiled binaries with new-ui it installs correctly but the new UI isn't ever active. i've used webflasher with the zipball, the `.bin` for tdeck/s3, and also used espwebtool to load all four images into the documented offsets.
i'm using gitpod and i did this successfully once and never again i'm using the `tft-gui-work` branch in `firmware`, but `strings` has no [DeviceUI] syms on mine
i'm trying to install #meshtastic with the #newUI again, i am using the right branch, i build the image, but when i flash it i'm just getting the boring UI even with an erase and install #tdeck
