How to fix #FLStudio crashing when its audio intput/output device changes.

On Mac:

1. Install the $10 donation-ware #BlackHole (2ch)
2. Install the $100 very-much-not-donationware Loopback by Rogue Amoeba (makers of the most excellent SoundSound)
3. Route your audio from BlackHole to your audio interface in Loopback
4. Tell your DAW to use Blackhole as its audio device.

On Windows:

1. Install ASIO4All. It's free.
2. ... that's kind of it?

I love core audio but why is routing so dumb on Mac?

Okay, I'm reintroducing myself here because it seems that people don't know me well enough to interact with me after all.

I'm a hobbyist (not professional) #musician and #writer living somewhere in #Romania. All my music is produced using #FLstudio (LMMS seems kinda too complicated for me to use). I literally do not know a single programming language other than #Scratch (.mit.edu), still use #Windows (but also use #Fedora Design Suite as a bootable live USB because no other #Linux OS will work with my laptop), and only use my low budget laptop and smartphone for surfing and occasional low end #gaming these days.

I specialize in mostly #parody / #mashup #music. I like listening to #pop, #rock, and #techno. I try to listen to all #Grammys nominees and winners. Don't care much for Eurovision

I play mostly free online games (not multiplayer with people, sorry) and watch mostly walkthroughs for the games I can't play on my device. I'm actually beginning to gradually dislike most mainstream movies and TV shows than I used to. And I'm allergic to both cats and dogs.

Finally, I speak mostly #English but sometimes will speak #Romanian. I also may be inactive sometimes due to me now holding a full time job in real life. However I am (and will be) more active on #Makertube ( #Peertube ) and #Mastodon (sunny.garden)

I'm also posting this when I should be sleeping.
