It's finally Friday, I'm having some free time: strawberries and chill.

Here's some Blender shots I've made these days.

Pic1: "Squalo de Tor Bella" (TorBella's Shark)
Pic2: "Kellog's Box"
Pic3: A bodypainted man with a custom texture
Pic4: Napoli's Armchair

Sharing one of Hans Chiu’s many optics experiments, this time, he’s recreating his old CD material. He’s so talented and brilliant that he managed to digitally replicate the caustics generated by CD reflections in #Blender with extreme accuracy. A genius! #b3d #Blender3D
Left 3D model right photo.

The Ghillie Spotter without mask. I think it came out good.

Hopefully this will give a more "easy to paint" approach without needing to finesse anything else to the end user, and end up having an "acceptable" compromise.

However that's something I will end up seeing with the model once it's released and I get feedback from miniature painters and those who are gonna play with it!

@vwbusguy From elevation data I derive four datasets: slope angle, elevation based colors, contour lines and hill shades. The latter could be made with #Blender, and it looks awesome, but its _really_ expensive and I haven't managed to fully automate it, so I use a tool called #GDAL like everybody else. Besides that, I use almost the same stack as #OpenStreetMap: #carto-css for styling, #mapnik for rendering, and my own set of tools for orchestrating and serving that.
