...hm. The utter masterpiece #Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is a single-layer disc, yet the wonky mess Metroid: Other M needed a dual-layer disc? ...As they say, *true* artists know how to crunch shit down.

There is a "#Stereoscopy" function in the #GameCube #emulator Dolphin's settings. It seems to be designed for #3D TVs, or maybe red/blue #anaglyph. I wonder if I could get it working on my #ValveIndex #VR headset.

When I first heard of RetroAchievements (no fedi presence booo) about a year ago, I immediately dismissed it as a silly gimmick.

BUT THEN…it came to GameCube.

And goddammit, that's gotten me to actually install Dolphin for the first time in years!

Dolphin with a bad dump be like, "It's not gonna work, I swear it's not gonna work, it most likely won't work at all, trust me!"

By checking out and compiling the iOS version of the GameCube Dolphin emulator, I got this emulator running natively on Vision Pro.

This makes it possible to play GameCube games with just a DualSense controller and the Vision Pro!

The quality is often higher than the original since Dolphin supports higher rendering resolutions and improved texture filtering.

When I play Knockout Kings 2003 using the standalone Dolphin emulator, the controller vibrations are very weak, not even noticeable, despite the rumble being set to 100%. But when I use the Dolphin core in #RetroArch, I feel the vibrations at full wack, as if I was playing on an actual GameCube. #Dolphin #DolphinEmu #DolphinEmulator #emulator #emulators #emulation

If anyone needs a nice dolphin config for Android, here's a decent one.
It breaks some things, but it's only minor and makes it nice to play even on an older device.
My friend's phone went from around 75% max, to 140% max speed, after I copied my config over.
Keep in mind that it includes some additional things flipped around, probably not how you have it set currently, so maybe only use everything under [Core]
