This is a cattle egret. Its standing on a back of a wild Camargue white horse but i guess we can pardon this confusion

Pocs pardals més punkis que els esplugabous. A este exemplar ja se li comença a notar el taronja d'època nupcial.
Visited #WWTWelney today, where I saw about 30 #CattleEgrets alongside the cows while drinking my tea in the cafe. Then saw a #GreatWhiteEgret in the reeds from the main hide. Finally, walking around Lady Fen I saw a couple more #GreatWhiteEgrets mixed in with the #CattleEgret - clearly distinguishable by the huge size difference (pictured). Don’t be taken in just because they’re near cows!
Also, they are #NotADuck

Went for a walk along the Samford Conservation Corridor this arvo. Being afternoon, there weren't a lot of birds around in the open, but I did spy a couple of Cattle Egrets, and a Brown Honeyeater.
A cattle egret hanging out with a friend along the St. Johns River in east central Florida. The birds eat the bugs that are attracted to the cattle.

Pleasent Surprise
This bird flew by yesterday. I thought it was a great egret. But after reviewing the photograph, discovered that it is a cattle egret (Bubulcus ibis). I've seen lots of these around, especially in pastures as we drive through the countryside. This is the first time I've photographed one.
"The short, thick-necked Cattle Egret spends most of its time in fields rather than streams. It forages at the feet of grazing cattle, head bobbing with each step, or rides on their backs to pick at ticks. This stocky white heron has yellow plumes on its head and neck during breeding season. Originally from Africa, it found its way to North America in 1953 and quickly spread across the continent. Elsewhere in the world, it forages alongside camels, ostriches, rhinos, and tortoises—as well as farmers’ tractors." - allaboutbirds.org
