Toki Pona for Kids
So, it's been 15 weeks already...
And here's the fifteenth track of the year!

I'm pretty happy with this one. There's still a lot of room for refinement, but it's the first time I've managed to nail that fleeting dub techno vibe I've been trying to grasp for ages. I can headbang in slow motion forever while bathing in those vaporous glitchy textures.
I hope you'll like this track as much as I enjoyed making it <3
A future version of #gbstudio will have support for 16x16 pixel fonts! You know what that means...
Do not miss anything happening in the Toki Pona community thanks to this newsletter: https://sin-kulupu.pona.la/
Every two weeks, kala Asi writes an email with a summary of recent events and creative works. pona mute!
English r-sound - ⟨ɹ⟩ for the IPA-heads - to what Toki Pona sound?
Does anyone know why this isn't working? The font is installed on my system, I have restarted LibreWolf since installing it, and testing the font in another application has verified that it should display Toki Pona words as Sitelen pona glyphs, but the text on the page is still appearing in Latin characters. Unchecking the box in the dev tools does visibly change the typeface.
Font: <https://www.kreativekorp.com/software/fonts/fairfaxponahd/>. I added the CSS with Stylus.
Okay, my two big interests have finally collided...
It's time for track number 14.

I would have kept all tracks around 7 minutes, but rules have been broken consistently since the beginning of this project, and it has become apparent that they're nothing more than templates meant to be bent when needed.
So here's a 15 minute long #ambient #drone track with increasingly more rhythmic parts. It kind of makes me think of William Basinski being given the vaporwave treatment.
@reed.edu’s Apr 1 newspaper: “Finally, there was a proposal to create a new Constructed Languages department under the Division of Literature and Languages, including […] new classes in #tokipona, #esperanto […] Unsurprisingly, this sparked a long discussion […] and […] passed very narrowly.”

Guess what? here comes the thirteenth track of the year :)

As I mentioned earlier, I recently found a decent workflow for a TB-303 clone I bought a couple of years ago, but that I had barely used because of its horrendous sequencer. Now I can finally have a blast making bad acid techno, and here's the result of my first attempt.

Hey, seems like it's time for the twelfth track of 2025.

This started as ambient, and could have stayed beatless. Then it took an unexpected dub-flavored acid detour, and ended up closer to post-rock territories.
It's noisy, it's glitchy, but also rather warm. Possibly happy, I don't know. But was enjoyable to make.

New #introduction post!
I'm Alicia and I'm a fibre artist (#dyeing #handspinning #felting #needlefelting #weaving #crochet #embroidery #upcycling #sewing) with interests in #mandala #art #psychedelicart #sacredgeometry #neurographicart and #watercolors.
My family and I run a business called @Fibre2Fabric where we dye all sorts of exotic #fibre #yarn, and #fabric.
I live in the country with my partner and our 6 #cats, 3 #dogs, #snake and #crestedgecko where I enjoy my many interests. (#gardening #plants #herbalism #fungi #music #ukulele #piano #dancing #flowart #reading #writing #tarot #poetry #haiku #cozygames and I'm getting more into #opensource / #linux)
When I say flow art, I mean spinning props like #hulahoop #leviwand #puppyhammer #poi #staff #silkfans #firefans etc.
I love #languagelearning. I studied #German and #Spanish as a kid, took #Japanese in uni, and I'm currently studying #ASL #Cree #Tokipona #Spanish and #Chinese. I also dabble in #French and #Latin sometimes and I'm learning #Greggshorthand to write faster. Cree is my favourite language and Spanish is my second.
I've been cursed since childhood with that lovely trifecta of #heds #pots and #mcas. Healing slowly but surely.
Hope I get to meet even more cool people the algorithms would normally drown out on other social media sites. I love it here!
