Habitually I provide the url, but if you do not need to, I would not recommend this for human reading. I fully grasp the concepts trying to be described, I just reflexively resist the way it is presented.

Ironic for something trying to explain how to implement the separation of data, code and presentation, that it so quickly devolves into #Jargon & #Technobabble

RE-EDIT: I got alt text but no caption on the first picture, and captions but no alt text on the rest..... and after that, only captions no matter how I try to write it

EDIT : Figured it out. Directly (no space) after the address string thingy for the picture, add the description and directly after that (again no space) [/img]

I have no idea how to add captions or alt text....I'm trying to find a Friendica alt text for dummies guide, but everything I find reads like technobabble. Sorry, I'm old, we had Commodore 64's when I was in school.

Found this "Say, you want to embed the image.jpg from example.com. The BBCode to add the image and provide an ALT text for it would be:

When I drag and drop a picture in a post, it looks like this:
