I've already set up the new Debian lab – BashLab – on VirtualBox.
Updated versions of #BashCore and #BashCoreX (2506) are ready...
But internet is painfully slow today. Who knows when they’ll finally be uploaded to #SourceForge
11 downloads in the first 24 hours, and I only posted on Mastodon and LinkedIn, where I am not so popular!
Thank you all for the interest in BashCoreX.
It means a lot, and it's just the beginning.
More updates, tests and fun ahead!
It’s official: BashCoreX is now available on SourceForge!
You’ll find it next to the original BashCore — both are downloadable from the same page linked on https://bashcore.org
Please take a minute to read the TXT file on SourceForge or the short description on the website.
(It took me forever to write it… I’m a bit crazy today, but it’s a special day!)
Now it’s time to celebrate.
Cheers!
Big news: RELIANOID just won the SourceForge Community Choice Award!
Out of over 500,000 projects, ours stood out for downloads and engagement — we’re honored and grateful.
Thanks to our amazing community and everyone supporting open-source innovation!

#OnThisDay, 2006-04-01, #MediaWiki development moved from a #SourceForge hosted #CVS environment to #SVN after a extended outage of the SourceForge CVS service.
The original SVN environment was hosted on @brooke's server until migrating to a @wikimediafoundation server on the 2007-05-31.

Does #gnuplot project <http://www.gnuplot.info/> not believe in providing SHA(512|256) checksums of download files? Or, PGP/GPG signature of the file (along with public key)?
The downloading behaviour on #SourceForge <https://sourceforge.net/projects/gnuplot/files/gnuplot/5.4.10/> <https://sourceforge.net/projects/gnuplot/files/gnuplot/5.4.10/gnuplot-5.4.10.tar.gz/download> in itself creeps me out for having a fucking redirection. Why.

Oh, I should have been looking into installing v6.0.2, not outdated v5.4.10, when I+requestor would be responsible for any security updates.

And I just realized that the project website itself uses "HTTP" without the "S". Yeah
I would not have to look into installing from source on someone's request if it was available as a package for #RockLinux 8 that work has in use. (It has not moved to v9+ due to lack of support for NIS; move to LDAP is planned in 1+ years (or, whenever).)

Considering moving everything I have on #GitHub over to #SourceForge. What do people think of it these days?
#opensource
My respin of #void with #fluxbox or #openbox is ready at #sourceforge ; find it here https://sourceforge.net/projects/d77void/
@aalmiray Oh, hard to say... I think, convincing someone to release a software under #GPL also counts? That was 2001. https://openhub.net/p/40054/contributors/172032767652987. Not sure if I have done something earlier. #sourceforge doesn't allow me to log in.
@Fu : I don't actually think there's a parallel universe in which #SourceForge is more user-friendly than #GitHub. That would simply defy quantum physics!
Can somoene remind me why we all stopped using #SourceForge? From a user perspective its certainly more friendly than #GitHub.
#sourceforge has joined #Cloudflare’s walled garden. Thus I can no longer report bugs in #DjVu.
Oh? No kidding!
Hey that's pretty cool!

I would like to declare this the stupidest product comparison ever: https://sourceforge.net/software/compare/Linux-Mint-vs-Void-Linux-vs-pCloud/
Some idiot at #SourceForge has it autogenerating nonsense #clickbait pages.
