I just witnessed someone who trained an AI (my guess is #DeepSeek) on a bunch of laws and legal documents (almost a petabyte of a bunch of DOCX and PDF), to replace a lawyer...
...and it fucking did. Whole case, top to bottom. Mind boggling.
The caveat? Thousands of dollars invested on a private model, but the thing rocks.
I believe tools like ChatGPT or Large Language Models are great for lawyers.
It's not about being lazy, but rather help them remember or double check they're right, instead of letting the "AI" work for them.

It seems that #AI continues to be an answer in search of a question. Hopefully this is opt-in during installation. I like the idea of having access to an #LM in an IDE or a creative application, but I don't understand why it has to be integrated into everything at the OS level, rather than at a per-application level. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding their intention?

I have to applaud #NVIDIA for pushing #DLSS and #RayTracing to the mainstream after 6 years.
Then, these technologies divided early-adopters with the mainstream. Today, these divide gamers between non-gamers.
People voted with their wallet. As #GordonMahUng (RIP) said, «You only care about #AMD to save on NVIDIA».
#NVIDIA keynote on CES 2025 was an all-arounder.
Started strong with their RTX 5000. Project Digits. NVIDIA Cosmos. It seems the company has offerings for all computing power levels, and use cases.
Apart from RTX 5000, no prices or release dates on most of their product and services. Their marketing department is good creating hype trains.
#ProjectDigits will be perfect for startups and home labs.
NVIDIA just bought developers into their ecosystem, as long the price of this device is right.

No benchmarks, but if that is 100% true, then it would crash the whole GPU market.
I don't believe it will happen as performance will be only reachable with DLSS 4. But if it's the same, then it will sell like hotcakes.
Would I preorder? Yes. And return if it's not what NVIDIA promised.

I can bet they will lower it to $499 if #AMD puts some pressure, just to crash their Radeon 9000 launch party.
Graphics card are still pricey, but at least these $549 makes some "sense" in terms of building a computer that would cost around $1,200.
