genehack<p>Since it seems highly likely that I'm going to be functionally one-handed for a while, in the near future, I'm wondering: </p><p>Is anybody aware of prior art around one-handed (specifically, right-handed) layouts for the <a href="https://dementedandsadbut.social/tags/keyboardio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>keyboardio</span></a> Model 01/100?</p>
flowolf :verified:<p>Using my <a href="https://graz.social/tags/keyboardio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>keyboardio</span></a> Model 100 for a few weeks and now I've switched ESC and ~ on my Atreus as well... Where will this end?</p>

... (FKA Gergely Nagy 🐁)<p>I am in the process of rearchitecting my <a href="https://trunk.mad-scientist.club/tags/Keyboardio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Keyboardio</span></a> Model 100 <a href="https://git.madhouse-project.org/algernon/Model100.org" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">firmware</a>, going from an undocumented mess of awkward C++ (:flan_despair:), to a literate style, using Org Roam.</p><p>Because my old firmware had a lot of features I no longer use, I removed most of them. But I kept the <a href="https://kaleidoscope.readthedocs.io/en/latest/plugins/Kaleidoscope-Leader.html" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Leader</a> key, even though I had no use for it anymore. I simply didn't have anything else to put in its place. :flan_nooo: </p><p>I figured out what to do with it! :flan_cheer:</p><p>I <a href="https://git.madhouse-project.org/algernon/Model100.org/commit/eeedfe6cee588ef204bf3ee88ed0dd46f3e2f80a" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">taught it to input Flans</a>. :flan_hacker:</p><p>This key is now a flantastic feature on my keyboard. :flan_ooh:</p>
Mike Williamson<p>Playing around with my new <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/keyboardio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>keyboardio</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/Atreus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Atreus</span></a>. It's so much smaller than I expected but it's really nice and really easy to customize. Fantastic <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/keyboard" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>keyboard</span></a></p>

... (FKA Gergely Nagy 🐁)<p>I had a dream. I dreamt that I implemented a native <a href="https://trunk.mad-scientist.club/tags/GNOME" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GNOME</span></a> configurator for <a href="https://trunk.mad-scientist.club/tags/keyboardio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>keyboardio</span></a> keyboards, not unlike <a href="https://trunk.mad-scientist.club/tags/Chrysalis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Chrysalis</span></a>, but definitely different.</p><p>I am unsure whether this was a nightmare or a prophecy.</p>

EDIT: These have all been spoken for and purchased. Thank you Fediverse for providing better homes than a garage sale would have!

Selling three of my #KeyboardIO keyboards. They all work dandy and have been much loved — and I’m keeping my Model 100 —but we’re moving. Maybe these can be much loved by someone else.

Asking USD $125 each for the Model 01 split keyboards, and $60 for the 44-key Atreus.

Price includes full keyboard, carrying case, and US shipping. I can throw in a USB-C connector if you need one.

$15 gets you the blank white Model 01 keycaps, or $10 if you’re also getting a keyboard.

Message me if you’re interested!

The standalone keyboard is gorgeous (and satisfyingly dense). I much prefer the clicky white switches over the tactile browns (maybe not in a laptop though).

It's a nice aesthetic match for the I just started experimenting with. Many thanks to @mntmn and the MNT team for accommodating my request for homing keys.

The Model 100 with Linear A keycaps is in the back. It's also lovely, but not convenient as a roaming keyboard.

Current status: FINALLY getting around to replacing the Kailh BOX Silent Brown keyswitches in my #keyboardio Model 100 with the BOX Whites I bought back in the Black Friday sale Keyboard.io had. Also isopropyl-ing the keycaps because they’re a little grotty.

Yes we go fucking hard on a Friday night round here.
