The boat is moored in what Brits refer to as a beauty spot. (The view is gorgeous.) A lovely small lake, lots of reeds on the far side, and an old hall up on the hill.

A bunch of feathered menaces, currently in pacifist-mode. Tbh, the scenery was very serene and nice.

I went out for a run. A Canada Goose was on the side of the road protecting its babies. I crossed the road to go around it. The geese here won’t just take you out; they’ll take your family out, burn your house down, cause civil unrest in your community. The killing spree would make headlines in other countries. Vicious creatures. #running #geese

Mostly finished with chopping out cottonwood suckers. The view of the orchard/pasture is much better now and the geese gave their approval (or flexing dominance from a distance).

By the road, I encountered these #geese. In the #photograph, they appear merely curious about the stranger with a camera but in reality, they were honking and hissing very loudly and being very aggressive. I’m really glad there was a barrier between us as I’m sure they would have attacked without it.
Stop foie gras
Station Eindhoven Centraal (centrumzijde), vrijdag 9 mei om 17:45 CEST
Op 9 mei zijn we weer in Eindhoven om een vuist te maken tegen de walgelijke foie gras industrie. Nog steeds zijn er restaurants die gewetenloos geld verdienen over de ruggen van dieren. Dit moet en zal stoppen, en we zullen net zo vaak terugkomen totdat ze het van de menukaart hebben geschrapt.
We verzamelen om 17.45 op Eindhoven Centraal, aan de centrumzijde, en lopen van daaruit richting de restaurants.
Neem je woede en luide stem mee!
Totdat elke kooi leeg is!
