🚨 AI vs. AI: @Scamnetic Raises $13M to Stop Scams in Real Time

As digital scams grow more sophisticated with the help of AI, one startup is fighting back — with AI of its own.

Scamnetic, a Tampa-based threat protection startup, just raised $13 million in a Series A round led by Roo Capital. This brings their total funding to $16M.

What does Scamnetic do?
- Scans emails, texts, QR codes, and even physical mail for scam signals
- Uses AI to verify identity in voice, video, and text comms
- Offers a scam victim support hotline and educational tools
- Focused on dating, crypto, and investment fraud

Why it matters:
- Scam losses hit $13.7B in 2024 (FBI data)
- 83% of all cybercrime losses were fraud-related
- Investment scams alone caused billions in damage

Scamnetic plans to invest the new funds in:
- Marketing and customer support
- Expanding its AI capabilities and product roadmap
- Helping businesses and individuals stop scams before they succeed

As Roo Capital’s Spencer Cecola puts it: “The world needs to fight AI with AI.”

@AnarresProject hi, this link has a Facebook tracker embedded in the URL (the "fbclid" part)

when sharing links, anything after the question mark is typically a means to track every instance a link is clicked and build social graphs—a web of connections to visualize how a link is shared, who has the most influence, and who is connected to whom. this is particularly dangerous to movement organizers...
