Just spun up a Gogs server on a spare Pi, as I was fed up of (mis)managing repos on various headless servers around the house.
It's pretty good! Lightweight, ofc (if you want features, you go for GitLab). Setup was about an hour including an Apache reverse proxy. Gets the job done, let's me store a whole bunch if private repos locally, but still follow a branch/PR/merge workflow.
@gwmngilfen I haven't set it up with an outward facing domain yet, but I set up #Gitea (Gogs fork) on my #NextCloudPi box, reusing the same database and everything. Took me slightly more than an hour, but like you it gives me the perfect place to host private repos and potentially some public ones.
Only crux left is remembering to git push... :)
@kungtotte yeah, I should hook that up to systemctl suspend... :)
