Let`s take a ride – to the city and back!

And, this is my drawing based on Outrun (MegaDrive). It is excellent morning! And, you decide to take a ride in your weekend! And, to go as far as you can. To see what point road will lead to! And, it leads you forward and forward! So, here around - it is sand location!

I always admired #TracyChapman's #FastCar, and the dense economy with which it packs in possibly an entire movie's worth of the crushing weight of life and hope into a five minute song. But to cover it? I always felt that to have a straight white man singing the song would be entirely missing the point of it. Well, I guess #LukeCombs proved me wrong, so if there is one year to tap her as the culmination of my March of songs by women, it's this year.

“Fast Car” (the original) just came on the radio and moved me so much.
I remember when it came out and my dad got the cassette and claimed that was “the best written song of all time.” That’s how much it affected him. I liked it fine then. I’m older now than he was then, and I think I get it. He felt that song in his core. It was some small parts of him and how he felt then. He might deny that today, though, having gone through a weird rebirth in the last years.

It’s taken me forever to find a video of the full performance and wouldn’t you know it, it was on the Grammys website this whole time. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I love how Luke Combs gives Tracy Chapman the “I’m not worthy!” bow at the end of their performance. Now they need to release this as a duet in all the places.
