I've had my eye on this one for a long time. <br><br>Took probably about 5 hours altogether. I tried arranging it with some pieces of furniture, but they were either too realistic and made the dinosaur look too artificial, or they were so simplistic that the glass effect was lost altogether. I might try again with a cel shaded effect soon, but I've always struggled with that. Taylor<p>I've spent a long time now working on improving my <a href="https://shark.axfive.net/tags/3DArt" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#3DArt</a> skills. I'm putting about an hour a day into <a href="https://shark.axfive.net/tags/Blender" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Blender</a> <a href="https://shark.axfive.net/tags/DigitalSculpting" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DigitalSculpting</a>, and I've got hundreds of hours of practice under my belt now. But now, the modern showings in generative <a href="https://shark.axfive.net/tags/AIArt" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#AIArt</a><span> can do better than my best effort in minutes what takes me at least a dozen hours. I still plan to keep on keeping on, but the whole thing is a bit deflating and dispiriting. Even as somebody who just wants to be good at art for my own pleasure, not a job, it is feeling a little like a waste of time, like the love of the craft is being sucked out of me.<br><br>This latest </span><a href="https://shark.axfive.net/tags/Sparc3D" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Sparc3D</a> thing is incredible. I am impressed, in awe, and I feel utterly worthless in comparison. I am kind of scared, and kind of wish that none of this existed. It feels like my dreams and hopes are being crushed, but not just mine, but literally millions of peoples' all at once, just so the laziest people can get shiny toys at the expense of the people who put the most work into improving themselves. I don't really know what to do about all that.</p>

Been working on #Marina from #Splatoon2. This is probably about a dozen hours in so far, and not completely done yet. Still need more work on the boots, headphones, eyes, and then rigging. I hope to be done by the end of this week and start on a new project.

I made the pants, fingers, headphones, and tentacles glow, which is a pretty cool effect.

...and I see why.

I did some more work on my legally distinct screen visor faced reptile-like creature, that I'm now calling "LVDS Z720".

(this post is also a test to see if #av1 works well enough yet for people, LMK if you can't play the video. I just found out that SVT-AV1 is actual like.. decently fast, like actually usable fast.)
