So AWS #APIGateway has a stored-proc-like language VTL (Velocity) and it is similar to Jinja. If you use it, you can sometimes cut out the middleman (the AWS Lambda) and call some AWS service directly and let the Gateway handle auth, logging, etc. But now you got a limited, weird ass language in your stack.

After setting up the plugin using Kong Konnect I was finally able to enable the plugin to work with the routes having an hybrid gateway manger and a node working on my machine in the same network as the REDIS database that I am using for the same effect. Netflix extended its prioritized load-shedding implementation to the individual service level to further improve system resilience. The approach uses cloud capacity more efficiently by shedding low-priority requests only when necessary, instead of maintaining separate clusters for failure isolation.
