I was going to post this under @botwiki, but polls on that server are limited to only 4 options (can you imagine?), so let me ask here:

Which social media APIs do you use the most for development nowadays? (Not as a user, please see reply for the distinction.)

#WebAPIs #APIs #TypeSpec #APIDesign #APIDocumentation #OpenAPI #DX #DeveloperExperience: "As we navigate the ever-evolving landscape of API design, it’s crucial that we don’t lose sight of the bigger picture. Although tools like TypeSpec offer enticing promises of simplified development and improved developer experience, we must approach them with a critical eye. The allure of code-like constructs should not come at the cost of collaborative, human-centered design principles. OpenAPI, for all its complexities, has made significant strides in democratizing API design and fostering cross-functional collaboration. Let’s not sacrifice all that on the altar of curly braces." passo.uno/typespec-openapi-api

These principles have been collected during the Technical Architecture Group’s discussions in reviewing developing specifications, and build upon the Ethical Web Principles [ETHICAL-WEB]. We encourage specification designers to read this document and use it as a resource when making design decisions."

I was this years old when I learned about Prefer HTTP header: datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/
My use case involved allowing API clients to opt-into receiving `204 No Content` response which can be solved by `Prefer: response=minimal` request header. And there are some other goodies, like async responses.

IETF DatatrackerRFC 7240: Prefer Header for HTTPThis specification defines an HTTP header field that can be used by a client to request that certain behaviors be employed by a server while processing a request.

We are kicking off our #introduction on mozilla.social 🚀

Greetings from the #MDN team who bring you developer.mozilla.org 🧑‍💻

We document web platform technologies, including #HTML, #JavaScript, #CSS, #WebAPIs, and provide resources for people starting their web development journey!

We're thrilled to join a decentralized network at @mozilla to see what everyone is building and sharing on the #OpenWeb
