Noticing the changes in the Mastodon UI here on MSTDN.social. Everything is so much crisper, cleaner, and loads a LOT faster on a slow connection. The loading difference was immediate.

Interesting. Thankfully its not as unusual as you'd think but there is some *very* bizarre accusations at our instance on there. Some people label the instance with "#racism"?!
Its very interesting that #mstdnSocial block us for supposed "racism" when it is #stux who has the neo-nazi sympathising, blue-and-yellow in their avatar.
Also apparently trying to de-radicalise an alt-righter is a cause of concern for some?
Counter-intuitive solution?
Instead of treating the search for an instance like the Hogwarts house selection process in Harry Potter novels, I chose the one I am in based on its 'leader', #Stux, whom I knew of because of his Patreon connections, and I was sure anything he was involved with would be smoothly and efficiently managed (I was right). And also because it is small.
AI is not my thing, but I use the federated timeline.

So, my instance admin (#stux) thinks #Meta is good, by default, and will need evidence that their behavior in the #Fediverse is negative.
This is deliberately ignoring the history of #Meta, #Facebook, and #MarkZuckerberg, which is a trait I've seen too often in my life, and especially since 2015, in white men, especially, other white people, and their sycophants.
#Meta, by default, is horrible. How they behave in the Fediverse, if they connect, remains to be judged.

Recently, I’ve started to use #Nextcloud on stuxhost.
Stuxhost is being run by #stux who is administration mstdn.social.
I was considering that selfhosting Nextcloud on a VPS. But that’s little bit difficult and using high-performance VPS is expensive for me.
