🚲<p>Huh. Pants made a set of custom playing cards. <a href="https://theartofpants.com/products/pants-playing-cards" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">theartofpants.com/products/pan</span><span class="invisible">ts-playing-cards</span></a> <a href="https://social.ridetrans.it/tags/PlayingCards" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PlayingCards</span></a></p>

I spent way too much time rewriting and updating the rules for my #cardgame #crowns. Maybe I didn't need to rewrite them entirely since it seems most people understood them anyway, but I added two optional rules in preparation for the custom cards version I'm working on and made a minor change to the King.

I haven't updated the rules on the wordpress page but they are updated on itch!

My favourite discovery today is old, themed progressive whist variants. Progressive Whist was a wildly popular game, where players would play many hands of Whist with changing opponents and/or partners and tally their scores at the end. Basically, the precursor to Duplicate Bridge.

As part of that mania, many themed variants were made that would have rules changes across the hands which tied (loosely) to the theme. There was wireless [radio] whist, hunting whist, and others. #PlayingCards

Took a long lunch to try a game of Palette Jass online with some other nerds. Nice breezy Jass that fits in an hour tidily. I guess that makes sense given its development for a radio show from Fahnder Jass.

…I wish I spoke German, because I’m very curious what a radio show broadcast of a card game is like. #CardGames #PlayingCards

A look at sports cards collecting, but I think if you collect something you might relate a little bit. I collect #cartomancy and #PlayingCards decks, but they're not (I think) going to generate the money some of these do.

It's official, I got a page on #BGG for my game! I also tossed the rules up on #wordpress, thinking - if there is one free place on the internet that will stay around for another 50+ years, it's wordpress, immune to change, not even AI will take their relevance down.

I will use the wordpress page as the main rules ref page for the game.
