Since the support group meeting, I'm thinking a lot about pride. It's such a powerful tool. I'm not talking about the pride that is limited to the individual. I'm thinking about community pride. The kind that allows you to bypass your own shit by loving someone else. It enables us to learn to love ourselves by loving each other. Maybe you're not able to overcome your own shame, but I am strong enough for you. I love what I'm seeing. I love you because you survived. I love you because you are out there. I'm not ashamed! "Organizers of the #NewYork#DykeMarch, one of the largest #LGBTQ#Pride events for women worldwide, announced that individuals identified as “#Zionists” will not be permitted to participate in this year’s march, set for June 28.
In a public statement, the group said it has formally added opposition to "#Zionism" to its list of core principles, citing a commitment “to the community’s values against Zionism, #racism and anti-LGBTQ hatred.”
