Hey 3D printing people!
Did you know there is a Fediverse alternative to Printables, Makerworld and Thingiverse?
It's called Manyfold, you can find out more on its website:
You can follow the official account at:
There's an official demo at https://try.manyfold.app and a public server to join at https://3dprint.social
#BambuLab really is the worst, now you can't even download any file from #Makerworld anymore without registration. It *says* I already downloaded 5 files, which is wrong, I just want that single one.
Why would anyone design and upload any free 3D printing files to it if the website then uses that to extract profit (in this case personal information) from innocent people?
Please stop uploading files to such trash. Use more moral services or go all the way and move to @manyfold.

Cleaning my workspace and exposing my many mistakes to the harsh light of day!
These are all of my prototype BEAPER Bot robot chassis iterations... I'm happy with the final results!
Design files are on #Tinkercad, print files are on #Makerworld: https://makerworld.com/en/collections/5661034-beaper-bot-robot

A comment of mine on a model has been deleted from #makerworld
Reason stated "unwanted commercial content"
What did I do?
I posted feedback + link to a license-allowed remix of mine of the model hosted on Printables, so people can find it.
Just in case you were wondering how "open" and maker-friendly #BambuLab really is.
Plz don't Publish ANYTHING on Makerworld. It's the closed-off FB of #3dprinting #3dprint
Please publish using CC-Licenses or similar. Don't use their default.
Wife: "Why do you have a yard waste bag in your office?"
Me: "I'm inventing..."

#BambuLab's #MakerWorld's being slow as fucking shit right as I need it quick.
I got the feeling I liked for the button after too many prototypes!
Made a cover for both ends :)
It doesn't require any support and is totally customizable, you can create a rack of 10, 20 or even more slots.
I may put it on #MakerWorld so everyone can print it for free.

Anyone with a MakerWorld account, please check out this model my nephew has made to turn your phone into a body cam. Customizable for any phone size.

He's entered into the Hiking contest, so if you have any tips on improvements, that would be much appreciated!
Thanks!
I just finished printing and assembling this rotating marble run. Challenging but fun, and I learned a lot. I downloaded the 3D model from Bambu Lab’s #Makerworld and ordered the electric parts. After creating this video I lightly sanded some areas where the steel marbles tended to stick and now it works better.
There is an LED strip inside the center spiral. Printed on a Bambu Lab A1 using their filaments. #3Dprinting

All week I've been designing electronic tea light candle holders for a gothic photoshoot I'm putting together. I wasn't able to find the props I wanted so I am making them myself. Each candle holder in the photoshoot will be unique. So far I've been cautiously experimenting with sidewall shape. I've got 22 more tea lights so there are plenty more opportunities to learn and try new ideas yet.
Some years ago, I made a 3D-printed SD card holder in the shape of the iconic macOS folder.
Today I’m launching an updated, slightly larger version that has space for 2 microSD cards and 1 full-size SD card.
It closes magnetically, thanks to magnets that can be dropped in mid-print.
And the best part: it's available for free!
Get it over at #MakerWorld:

Celebrate 10 years of 3DBenchy with this tribute model: Benchy Through Time – Half classic, half modern, split by a circular time portal.
Choose between a clean single-piece version or a modular display build. Easy to print, fun to assemble.

The 3D-print files for the electronic component lead bender are also available on #Makerworld: https://makerworld.com/en/models/696205-electronic-component-lead-bender#profileId-625198
I've got some random #makerworld points from my models. I have really no desire to buy their filament or their printers.
What should I do with them? Is the maker essentials kit any good?
