Feeling a bit overwhelmed with how to deal with sorting through #ISSVanguard and Lost Fleet *and also* setting up Deadly Frontiers.
This might take days. I might have to reset both games and then start setting up DF from that. I hate that this is suboptimal. It'd take hours less if I knew where everything was. But I need to fully reset in order to be able to find things.

One of the friends I'm playing #ISSVanguard with is a lot more lucky when it comes to dice throws than me, even though it's my game. Well, he's right-handed, and I'm a lefty, so I'm assuming the game comes with right-handed dice.

I'll open a ticket with #AwakenRealms about this.

First #ISSVanguard #gamenight

Heute haben wir zu zweit das Tutorial für #ISSVanguard gespielt. Das Spiel wird bestimmt toll, auch wenn Frau noch nicht so begeistert von der Fülle an Regeln ist. Aber das Tutorial war höchstens ok... Irgendwie wusste ich oft nicht sicher wie ich weiter machen sollte. Das englische voice acting in der App ist dagegen super und hilft bei der Stimmung. Hoffe dass der Beginn der Kampagne besser laufen wird. (Aber das wird terminlich frühestens in 2 Wochen was )

Ich bin gerade bei der Vorbereitung für #ISSVanguard. Das Material sieht toll aus und ich hoffe wir können es am Wochenende zu zweit ausprobieren.

Auf der Suche nach Erklärvideos hab ich jemanden gefunden, der das Spielmaterial in 3D nachgebildet hat um ein spoilerfreies Video zu machen. Ich bin gestern zur Hälfte gekommen und es ist großartig, die Kartentexte sind es alleine schon wert die Videos zu gucken.

Now we finished #ISSVanguard ! It was a fun game, though took us eight months and over ten sessions. Would recommend, but not play again.

Want a sci-fi #boardgame in which your tutorial takes you into a Dyson sphere and has a Shipbook to upgrade ship, crew, and landing craft, as wells as a Planetopedia to discover new worlds.

I wouldn’t exactly call it #StarTrek in a box, but I wouldn’t NOT call it that.

We’re playing with 3 players, but it would also make for one hell of a #sologame if you don’t mind the 2-3 time investment. I emphasize investment on this one in particular.

We played ISS Vanguard again yesterday. We seem to be getting closer to the end. This time we visited one planet twice - the first time was a two-parter and took us five hours. It was also a TPK.

The second time had only the last part and we came in very well prepared, and it was only 1.5 hours and could have been completed on the second player's turn, but we did one round to get the last secret. A fun game!

If you loved my #ISSVanguard rules & reference, but wanted me to include the ship book procedures as well, I'm now happy to have done just that in v2!

We have now played that #ISSVanguard maybe halfway, and I like it.

The game has two phases: ship management and landing mission. In the management phase the state is updated and large scale decisions are made.

The landing phase is more like a traditional board game. Pieces, resource management, dice rolls, cards. The mechanics are solid and if not simple at least understandable.

What I like about the landings is that there is much variation and special rules. The missions feel different. 1/2

We played again ISS Vanguard. Sadly we did not have our botanical mining laser on the latest mission - it would have helped in an important tea ceremony.

I've just backed for first time a #boardgame: the Spanish version of #ISSVanguard by Awaken Realms (English version is already on retail).

Now it's only a matter to wait and hope to have this before 2024 (current estimate is Q4 2023).
