its the closest i've ever seen to magic the gathering with a standard deck. the rounds are fast and fun but they have enough RNG that it feels more fair to have like three rounds of best of three, or something, because otherwise, you don't feel like you actually get a chance to see who is better.

its interesting to me that the wikipedia entry doesn't specify when or where the game came from, but, via reference - pagat mentions its the "earliest combat card game" - pagat.com/combat/cuttle.html - but it doesn't really have references otherwise. i'd be curious to know if some #boardgame or #cardgame person wants to enlighten me :)

i think a lot of merveilles folks would like this game though in general as it reminds me of #donsol, but two player, faster and a bit more dynamic and strategic.

I wrote a #novel about the effect of #DavidBowie on a time traveler. Then a #scifi #spaceopera novel about a band of women mercenaries fighting psychic vampires. Then I wrote a novel about either #autism or an android getting certified as human. It turned out to be about #autism, so I am re-writing this and will be posting the progress at my #patreon.

Some weeks ago we showed the sketches for Asim's deck. Now we are revealing the final artworks! 😍 He is one of the playable characters in the base game. As a junior tech worker, he lost his job multiple times and is now getting by with gig-work. But he is not giving up. He has formed a union and is fighting back against the corporations. For more worker's rights, a 3-day work week, and less AI. ✊ ✊ ✊
