Now, what can you do with it? This is the first in a series of articles about how one can adventure in Berry Peak, which is in a world occupied by Garou!

The Adventure Begins…

The League of Garoumasters showed up several months past and took over the city of Berry Peak using garou, which didn’t refuse commands to attack people. Ever since the start of their occupation, people have suffered greatly. The League has ordered the wrongful jailing of any persons who have opposed them. They pilfer the banks as their own personal bank accounts, often leaving hardly any money for any one else. They steal from the grocery stores. The once proud and rich citizens of Berry Peak are now finding themselves in dire straights. Assemble a team of fellow garoumasters to stop this carnage!

“Berry Peak” is a sample, but short, adventure about fighting the League of Garoumasters itself with your own team. Instead of going it alone, a team will be assembled and they will need to go into the domicile which the League occupies and defeat all the garou standing in their way until the occupying garoumasters are vanquished. To accomplish this feat, your garou will battle the League’s. Do not rest until the League of Garoumasters is defeated!

To play this elementary adventure, you will only garou created using the book above and a bunch of six-sided dice.

The League of Garoumasters

From whence they came, nobody knows really. All that’s known is the League came and took over some villages. Rumor has it: they have taken over most of the world. This section lays out a guide for their garou. It is safe to assume once their garou is defeated, they are defeated and will retreat from Berry Peak.

Minor Members

The minor league members make up the majority of those who are encountered from the perspective of the League of Garoumasters. They are more readily identified by their ranks rather than names. Additionally, they have “of <Element>” at the end. For example, Burlock walks into a bar and encounters the Novice of Air. Burlock sneers at the garou along side the Novice. Described in this section are the garou associated with the ranking. Defeating each minor member rewards the players with 100 coins per garou defeated.

Novice. All attributes are 0D+2. Abilities: Weaponless Fighting – Punching (1D).

Lay. All attributes are 1D. Abilities: Weaponless Fighting – Punching (2D).

Choir. All attributes are 1D+1. Abilities: Weaponless Fighting – Punching (3D).

Heiro. All attributes are 1D+2. Abilities: Weaponless Fighting – Punching (4D).

Prior. All attributes are 2D. Abilities: Weaponless Fighting – Punching (5D).

Abbots

The Abbots are the leaders of the League. Each one is a master of an element and are called the “Abbot(ess) of <Element>”. As such, if they are defeated, all League members inside Berry Peak feel compelled to escape due to a psychic link between them and the appropriate Abbot. For every garou encountering the Abbot’s garou beyond 1, add +2 to their abilities. Defeating each Abbots rewards the players with 1000 coins per garou defeated.

Brightscale – Fire. All attributes are 1D+2. Abilities: Decrease Stamina (2D). Weaponless Fighting – Stomp (2D).

Bumble – Earth. All attributes are 1D+2. Abilities: Breath Attack (5D).

Clover – Water. All attributes are 1D+2. Abilities}: Decrease Strength (2D). Weaponless Fighting – Jeet Kune Do (3D).

Floof – Air. All attributes are 1D. Abilities: Increase Strength (2D+1). Weaponless Fighting – Swipe (1D+2).

Hoofer – Wood. All attributes are 2D. Abilities: Defense (2D). Eyebeams (2D). Items: 2x Typical Potion of Agorak

Whiska – Magic. All attributes are 2D. Abilities: Breath Attack (5D).

What’s next?

What’s next is now that you all have been introduced to quick builds of the antagonists, where you all will hopefully be the protagonists, the adventure needs presentation. Berry Peak continues next time with Act I!
