They _already_ do this for DECADES without oversight.... but are using #StateSponsoredMalware™ from #GammaGroup's #FinFisher #FinSpy #Finsky product line using #ForcedMDM and forced proxies for easy fisher price #MITM #malware exploitation for #civilrights & #humanrights #abuse.

The History of this is just #cointelpro🤝#COPSProgram🤝#FusionCenters🤝#Meta with even WORSE #ChurchCommittee findings since the technology has progressed. Worse. Abuses. Ever.

Wait, isn't the order pass the House _first_ legislation wise THEN the Senate. Hmmm. Odd.

How many people had on their 2024 bingo card that the #news would be removed from the largest #FreeWebHostingCulture, globally?

Anyone else wonder why that over 20+yrs that this advertising firm could have possibly of gotten away without failing, in normal times, and grow to be the largest #CSAM #pedophile web hosting company, globally, which #MajorBrands are running away from in droves, and still exist today & profit from hosting this type of material, even after being repeatedly reported, reports ignored, zero actions, and not removed? Same pattern as always.

#FacebookFiles

Normal web hosts would be raided _immediately_ and _shut down_.

This #CSAM web hosting company would fail as an #advertising company with its assets and hardware and software, seized, immediately! 👨‍⚖️👩‍⚖️⚖️ It's stock price would plummet. Investors would divest so as to ' not be associated with a CSAM Web Hosting Company.

Good thing the DOJ has its eye on doing just that since they are absolutely monitored about such things, allegedly. /$ 👁️📄✍️👁️

#ChurchCommittee 1975, same findings as the now except WORSE

> The White House.. denied the claims. #Hersh.. says the U.S. decision to bomb the pipelines was meant to lock allies into support for #Ukraine at a time when some were wavering. “The fear was #Europe would walk away from the war,” .. Hersh won a Pulitzer Prize in 1970 for his reporting on the #MyLai massacre. His reporting on CIA spying on antiwar activists during the #VietnamWar era helped.. the formation of the #ChurchCommittee.. , he exposed the #AbuGhraib.. scandal

ESPECIALLY.

.... Do _NOT_ go hand in hand since the 2010's, obvs. by example of past presser events and coverage.

As a #NewsDirector I would advise all #TechReporters & #Reporters in general to treat _everything_ that their #PROffice has to say as _bullshit_ UNTIL proven otherwise.

Data. Data. Data.

This leads to a successful story imo.

When people START talking about the #PoliceDepartments and #IntelligenceAgencies & #PrivateInvestigators & #Lawyers in the room, only _then_, when looked at through the lens of #WhitelistedCrimePrograms that the above engage in ON THIS PLATFORM like the #CounterIntelligence part THEN things START to make sense a bit more post #TotalInformationAwareness #TIA wise. Init?

I will cite one program #ChurchCommittee finding from 1975 and challenge a revisit of these hearings the in the 2020's. Same Exec Summary just add some more names basically. 🧐

US Domestic Surveillance Disclosures pre-dating Edward Snowden's Revelations

Asking for sources of any current activities met with some resistance at HN. Challenged for any awareness of pre-Snowden programmes, I listed a few I was aware of, off the top of my head:

Regards pre-Snowden, the situation was far more than an "open secret", there were multiple documented projects and methods employed. Among them:

There were very strong suspicions around the TIA (total information awareness) and USA PATRIOT ACT (2003, 2001). I recall much chatter about this at the time, and the related FISA court, though little by way of specific details of technological measures and methods involved.

Carnivore, a WinNT workstation-based tool, disclosed ~2000. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carnivor

There are telephnic data retention programmes, including MAINWAY (revealed in 2006), containing an estimated over 1.9 trillion call-detail records, and

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAINWAY

Project ECHELON, with disclosures of varying aspects from 1972 -- 2000. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ECHELON

There are earlier periods, notably addressed by the FBI's own COINTELPRO archives (vault.fbi.gov/cointel-pro), though for my purposes I'm considering "modern" projects to be circa 1990 onwards. (COINTELPRO and the Church Committee hearings resulted in substantial changes, at least publically, to US domestic surveillance).

And I've compiled a long list of pre-1990 references of concerns regarding significant technologists who'd warned of the risks of information technology as a tool of surveillance and control, largely as no such list seemed extant: toot.cat/@dredmorbius/10507493

I'm well aware that documentation of clandestine and national security issues is difficult to come by, see the TK case for one reason why that is.

But that's also why specific documentation is so valuable and why I'd requested that.
