Has anyone managed to get a or running autonomously from solar power in Northern Europe? For example as a 24/7 data logger. Just curious what sort of challenges one would have there and what sort of re-start behaviour you get if the device loses power due to low light periods. . Cheers.

I am testing an open-source circuit design (meshtastic.discourse.group/t/r) for solar charging a RAK node, the aim of the circuit being to make the node re-start automatically if the battery is re-charged by the sun after having been flat (). Build details here meshtastic.discourse.group/t/r with test results not in yet.... takes time to drain the battery and see if it re-starts. For now, it is just nice and compact.

Small black shiny plastic box with large antenna sticking out vertically from the middle of its top. Out of the box run a black and a red cable, into a small shiny solar panel that is angled slightly upwards by being placed in a rubber block with a slot that holds the solar panel at a slant. The background is a green cloth.
