Friday 22:17
Went to bed before 21:00, feeling absolutely drained.
This morning I received my 2nd Shingles Shot from the Doctor's Office and Influenza Shot from Publix.
Went to work for a couple of hours, but started feeling really woozy. My most excellent boss Danielle told me to go home.
Been on / off napping all afternoon & evening.
Didn't even make it to TheBugcast live show.
Tomorrow I shall most probably stay at home all day:
a) I do have a 06:00 appointment with the 30 hours of prayer, but will probably do that from home.
b) Rescheduled my Blood Donation 09:00 appt to the following Saturday.
c) Arianna had been invited to a lady's Baptism at the Church building at 16:30, but the event has been moved to Sunday's 2nd service at 11:00. I had planned to attend & witness also.
Although I shall rest up as much as possible, I shall still work on 2 weeks worth of laundry, and complete my MissionAssist allocated Bible chapters over the weekend.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers my friends.

Continued thread

I am a #donor #bloodDonor but I can't donate again for another 6mths due to my iron being off. One of my friends donates plasma for anti d and I remind her regularly that she's a fucking hero to me, she may be childfree by choice but she is making sure people who choose parenthood have hope and their babies have a fighting chance of survival.

There are philanthropist's and heroes

However

*James Harrison* is a Class A Legend.

| Known in Australia as the man with the golden arm, Harrison's blood contained a rare antibody, Anti-D, which is used to make medication given to pregnant mothers whose blood is at risk of attacking their unborn babies.

www.bbc.comJames Harrison: Australian whose blood saved 2.4 million babies diesKnown as the 'man with the golden arm', James Harrison's blood contained a rare antibody that saved millions of lives.

In the blood donation clinic, there were three of us after the donation in the canteen, and the staff told us that the clinic got a lot of chocolates and we could have as many as we wanted to spread them around for Valentine's day.
They gave each of us a fistful of those candies.
Mine went to a) a lesbian friend b) a heterosexual male bandmate b) that bandmate's girlfriend c) a middle-aged, married oboe professor.
I may be comically missing the point of Valentine's day chocolates but I have no regrets about it.

I can say I literally bleed for my country. After work I donated blood & the nursing staff gave me & the other donors there a free #toque to help promote #blooddonation. This will be my 34th #wholeblood donation, according to my record with #CanadianBloodServices. I go to the permanent #Yonge & #Bloor site in #Toronto. I dedicate this donation to the recent passings in both my family & my friends' families. It's been a rough start to 2025.

I just discovered, as I have #coronaryheartdisease I can no longer be a #blooddonor . Which is a shame as the Welsh #nhs is currently desperate for donations, and I guess the regular NHS wouldn't say no either.

So here's the deal, if you're healthy and feel like you're a decent sort of person, you have blood and you can spare a bit.

Donate blood.

It doesn't take long and afterwards you can give yourself a pat on the back for doing the right thing. :-)
