From 22 April 2025, changes to Thurrock bus services by First #Essex and #Ensignbus will improve connectivity and maintain key #transport links. First Essex’s Service 200 will no longer serve #Orsett but will run hourly (Monday to Saturday) from #Basildon to #Grays via Chadwell St Mary, #Tilbury, and Little #Thurrock, replacing Ensignbus route 66. To ensure continued access for Orsett, Ensignbus Service 88 will extend from Stifford Clays, while First Essex’s Service 201 will also be extended to Orsett, with four journeys each way on weekdays. Ensignbus routes 22, 44, 73, 83, and X80 will also see timetable changes to improve reliability. Passengers are advised to check updated timetables and plan journeys accordingly.

I got some of the shopping centre names wrong as I rarely go into South #Essex and have not been to #Basildon since 1990 (and was ejected from the Eastgate shopping centre by security for wearing a hoodie and hanging around with local youths I'd befriended) - but I seem to spend a fair bit of time in the area recently (including long drives along the #A12 as its the only route out of this part of #EastAnglia to SE England)

Why do I think that #BasilDon is not the right hashtag for this?

We got a random packet of #Basil seeds, which we planted, but didn't initially give them enough light, so they're a bit floppy and thin. But now they're sat in a south facing window and getting more leaves. See how many make it.

there was a moral panic spread in Britain about hoodies by the Conservative government around mid 2000s, and as long ago as 1989 I was ejected from a shopping centre in #Basildon , #Essex whilst wearing one (as I was just "hanging around" with some other teens and not spending money. In some retail places security would challenge youths wearing hoodies although usually only if they had their hoods up, and far less common today as its a more popular garment..
