Samsung’s latest mid-range tablets arrive this week with the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ set to go on sale in select markets starting April 3, 2025.

At first glance, the new tablets look a lot like the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series that launched about a year and a half ago. But Samsung has given the new tablets a faster processor, and a few other modest improvements. […]

OnePlus Pad (2024) launches in China with 11.6 inch, 144 Hz display and Dimensity 8350

Smartphone maker OnePlus launched its first tablet in 2023 and followed up later that year with a cheaper model for select markets before launching the OnePlus Pad 2 in July, 2024.

Now the company has introduced a new flagship tablet with a somewhat strange name. The OnePlus Pad (2024) is now available in China for about $275 and up. It will probably cost a bit more if and when it goes on sale in other markets.

So the first weird thing about the name is that this is the second OnePlus Pad to launch in 2024. The second is that it’s launching at the very end of 2024, which means that most people who buy one will probably pick one up in 2025 or later.

Anyway, the OnePlus Pad (2024) seems like a pretty solid entry in the mid-range tablet space. It has some premium features including an 11.6 inch, 2800 x 2000 pixel, 144 Hz display with up to 700 nits brightness, a 7:5 aspect ratio, and support for touch and pen input. But it’s powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor, which is a chip designed for “premium” devices rather than “flagship.”

The processor combines four ARM Cortex-A715 CPU performance cores with four Cortex-A510 efficiency cores and Mali_G615 MC6 graphics.

Entry-level configurations feature 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage, but the tablet is available with up to 12GB of memory and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

Other features included a 9520 mAh battery, support for 67 watt fast charging, 8MP front and rear cameras (the camera on the back supports electronic image stabilization while recording videos), a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, and support for WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.4.

The tablet measures 257.8 x 189.1 x 6.3mm (10.15″ x 7.44″ x 0.25″ and weighs 533 grams (1.18 pounds).

Lenovo Yoga Pad Pro AI debuts in China (12.7 inch tablet with a 144 Hz display and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3)

The Lenovo Yoga Pad Pro AI is an Android tablet with a 12.7 inch, 2944 x 1840 pixel, 144 Hz display featuring up to 900 nits peak brightness, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, and up to 16GB of LPDDR5x memory and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

It’s unclear if or when this model will be available in North America or Europe, but customers in China can order one for 4799 CNY (about $660).

While that’s a rather high price tag for an Android tablet, this thing has the kind of specs that are clearly meant to compete with premium models like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S series or Apple’s iPads.

In addition to Qualcomm’s 2023 flagship mobile processor and support for plenty of memory and storage, the tablet has six speakers with Harman Kardon audio, a 10,200 mAh battery, and 68W fast charging support. The tablet also comes with a folio keyboard case and an active pen that supports up to 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity.

The tablet gets its name from a set of AI features that Lenovo has implemented in its Chinese tablet with support for features like an AI personal assistant that can summarize documents, respond to natural language voice controls, generate images, and summarized documents or translating languages. There’s also a voice cloning feature, and Lenovo seems to have its own version of Google’s Circle to Search feature.

But Lenovo also plans to offer a lower-cost version of the Yoga Pad Pro that isn’t being marketed as an AI tablet. That model features 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage and ships without the keyboard or pen. But it’s a more affordable device with a 3299 CNY (about $450) price tag.
