I've been pondering and I still don't get the idea behind companies giving you shares instead of a proper raise.
Is it supposed to be a psychological shackle so that I aim to do better so much that it has such an impact on the company that my shares worth a lot more? Like that would happen in a bigass company when the product I work on is 1 of 1000.
Or is it a corporate "fuck you" because I supposed to just shut up and be happy with the extra lunch money I get out of it every fiscal quarter?
