I keep running into brick walls trying to find a simple roadmap/kanban tool that:
1) Is Open Source
2) Isn't GitHub
3) Supports public sharing or embedding
4) Bonus: can be self-hosted
Context: I'm creating a roadmap for @Linux4Everyone and I want it to be publicly viewable.
I was hoping @nextcloud Deck would fit the need, but sadly it doesn't have a public sharing option, otherwise it would be perfect.
Any ideas out there?
@killyourfm I think that Vikunja (vikunja.io) would check all of the boxes?
1. Is open source
2. Is not a code forge
3. Supports public link sharing of a kanban without users having to create an account
4. Can be self-hosted
Vikunja is on mastodon at @vikunja if you need any help!
@markpitblado @vikunja That does indeed check all the boxes. And bonus points for the cute Alpacas (edit: vicuñas!)
The demo I'm trying only seems to have sharing to users and teams, however. Not to public. But I'll reach out and ask!
Thanks Mark.
@killyourfm @vikunja just doing some testing on my instance, if you click on the three dots for the project you wish to share (in the left-hand side menu), then "share" you should be able to set up a read only share link!
@markpitblado @vikunja Oh that's awesome! Yep, just tried it with this: https://try.vikunja.io/share/HrduDDTpBEKhPy4fqT1bmySSZwbOdX1y7SSHWb3M/auth?view=805
You've saved the day.
