Time to put some new ink in my #majohn A2 after shimming the tines a bit. Have been getting some ink flow issues with #Sailor #okuyama. What a great yet cheap alternative to my favourite #VanishingPoint series! Inking it with my favourite Sailor #kiwaguro waterproof black ink. #majohnA2 #fountainpens #fountainpen #Sailorink #nibs #fountainpenaddict
@eclecticpassions the A2 seems to be blowing up here lately! Curious as it’s been out for a while.
@paradoxmo I am very out of date in the fountain pen world for the past 4 or 5 years... This A2 is the only fountain pen I bought this year! I can use it without worrying about scratches or dings like my vintage VPs. But the Moonman / Majohn nib is a bit boring. Hard to beat the gold Pilot VP nibs....
@eclecticpassions Well, you can buy the modern Capless nib unit and use it in your A2, I am doing that in my A1
@paradoxmo I have almost all the modern nib units... But I read that it might damage it / catches on the flap? Don't want to risk it...
@eclecticpassions some pens are defective and catch on the nib no matter what, if your pen is working fine with the stock nib unit then it’ll work fine with a Pilot nib unit. I have had 0 trouble with the Capless nib in the A1
@paradoxmo Thanks for the heads up! I'll give it a shot. If it works, it'll be amazing!
@eclecticpassions What's the difference between the Majohn A1 and A2 pens?
@codeyarns The clip design and girth/weight! The A2 is the slimmer one of the two. It's a bit like A1 is the normal Vanishing Point and A2 is the Decimo variant VP.
@eclecticpassions Thanks. Also it looks like the Majohn A2 does not have a clipless version (while the A1 did).
