@z3ntu Any KaiOS/GerdaOS devices there, too?
@manu We had the Nokia Banana phone yesterday, but currently no
@z3ntu That's the one
I'm trying to replace my glass brick with it right now. Nice to know others are at it as well.
@delight_aug @z3ntu The Cosmo Communicator right?
@monochrome @z3ntu yep. Totally forgot the name, good thing you asked.
@delight_aug So I rechecked, thats actually the Gemini PDA, Cosmo Communicator is like the same but it has a small screen on the outside as well.
@monochrome oops, right. tbh gemini pda looks a bit better, the cosmo communicator is kinda bulky. Although none of them seem to be very usable on Android. They also released a new device that looks like an actual phone with the keyboard sliding from the back. Kinda like the FX1 Tech Pro or whatever that was called.
@delight_aug its called the "Astro Slide". and the other phone is F(x)Tec Pro 1 X (gotta be the worst name in human history)
@delight_aug
I kinda am interested in the gemini, cus it says it can run Debian (mentioned in their website) but the Gemini was released like 4 years ago and that too not with any flagship processor of that time, so idk how its going to run now if I bought it or something.
@monochrome idk, the processor seems reasonable, although not for the price, and there's 4GB of RAM — should be alright. The GPU doesn't seem too prominent tho, and I'm also curious how good that Linux support actually is. It's also on Type-C, so I'd consider it modern enough.
@delight_aug If it can run Debian without being sluggisth then its already a win in my books. I already use pretty minimal software anyway (on an old ThinkPad X220), so it might not be that hard to run on a mobile processor.
@z3ntu wish I could've been there!
@dedsyn4ps3 There will always be a next time!
