I'm digging this new @flathub section promoting mobile apps!
@bragefuglseth Ooh, that looks nice. Maybe I should finally make Hieroglyphic adaptive. I remember a certain someone opening an issue for that :)
@FineFindus @bragefuglseth you should.. check out last week's changes in libadwaita preview which lets you see how adaptive your app is. https://thisweek.gnome.org/
@sri @bragefuglseth I don't even need to check because it is non-resizable locked in 'landscape' mode :)
But I'll use it when adapting the app
@bragefuglseth @FineFindus
Those mockups look great!
@bragefuglseth @flathub now I only need a Linux-capable phone to make actual use of adaptivity (currently I'm only implementing it in my apps, because someone out there might have one)
@rdbende @bragefuglseth @flathub
I have a oneplus 6 running postmarketos which does ok. Unfortnately, most phones don't support cameras.
@bragefuglseth @flathub You know what's the logic for picking apps? Share Preview is not intended for phones.
@rafaelmardojai Good catch! I've mentioned it in the Flathub room on Matrix.
@rafaelmardojai @bragefuglseth @flathub that's a bug, due to conflicting spec/docs and me missing something
@bragefuglseth @flathub This looks very nice, but it's disappointing that it seems to only promote gnome/libadwaita apps. I had a quick look, and I think the first Kirigami app is only on page 5.
It also seems to be missing Kasts (disclaimer: I'm a developer). I'm pretty sure it's been marked as mobile compatible in the app data. (It is in fact 100% mobile compatible.)
@mogwai @flathub Looking at the metainfo file, Kasts lacks the necessary metadata. It has been marked as supporting touch, but it also needs a <display_length compare="ge"> in a <requires> tag, containing the minimum width the app supports.

@bragefuglseth @flathub Thanks! I appreciate the feedback, and also appreciate that there are efforts to reach out to other communities beyond gnome.
On the other hand, I'm just a single hobby developer and I don't have the time to actively keep track of all the appstream developments all the time. It would be nice to have some kind of mechanism to alert developers of relevant changes that might impact visibilty rather than expect developers to figure it out by themselves.
@bragefuglseth I would love to get my hands on a Linux phone. Too bad I don't have one.
Still thinking either Librem or Fairphone 5.
