I wrote the first part of a 2-part blog post series on how I replaced my home #firewall with an x86 #OPNsense setup — https://www.lguruprasad.in/blog/2025/01/20/how-i-replaced-my-home-firewall-with-an-x86-opnsense-setup/
I wrote the second (and final) part on how to redirect all outgoing #DNS requests to the local #PiHole instance using #OPNsense — https://www.lguruprasad.in/blog/2025/01/20/redirect-all-outgoing-dns-requests-to-the-local-pi-hole-instance-using-opnsense/ #firewall #adblocking
@artfulsodger why not use the built-in filtering provided by Unbound ?
@magicfab, I’ve been using Pi-hole for many years now and I’m happy with it. It definitely has more features and nicer graphs and visuals than the built-in Unbound resolver. Maybe one day in the future, I will migrate it over but not today
