Just worked with a writing coaching client, and applied some of Aristotle's Poetics to a half hour comedy pilot, and we gained useful, actionable insights. Very old school and very cool.
I am seeing more transcription bots, like otter.ai, being added to work calls.
I was thinking it would be really funny if, rather than a transcript, it looked at the video feeds, and wrote a screen play:
Bill squirmed under pressure, and committed to a release date: "We'll have the fix in production by the end of the month". But his body language suggested he'd say anything to get off the call.

Frankly, if Obsidian Publish (https://obsidian.md) actually integrated the Fountain format plugin (https://github.com/chuangcaleb/obsidian-fountain-editor) a little better I would write a lot more of my RPG content as if they were screenplays, because that would be peak pleasure for me. I'm not going to lie.
But this is a pretty good present and I am thrilled to have had the pleasure of accepting it.
Thanks Hollywood Camera Work, I look forward to the next update!
You know what makes for a really good pre-Christmas morning? Waking up and discovering that your favorite writing tool is moving to the EU and thus restructuring their entire subscription system. But you have been subscribed to it for four years. And they are perfectly willing to apply the money you've already paid in to a permanent license.
Meaning that I just got Causality Story Sequencer (https://www.hollywoodcamerawork.com/causality.html) for free with a permeant license going forward. Now, if you didn't know, my favorite form of writing is not, in fact, prose or the technical document. It's the screenplay. I own three or four different pieces of screenplay software that I've accumulated over the years, and only Causality has really tickled my pickle in the way that hits hard.
Part of it is the way that you can literally connect up scenes and sections in the software to track what things are required to happen before other things and what things are related to other things with some automated tools that detect if you move things out of sequence and you don't mean to. Plus it's just a really, really good piece of screenwriting software which can export to very clean fountain format.
