So. Launched exo yesterday. Good stuff.

One common report I've had is “I don't know how to buy the campaign". I'm good at this.

Turns out you can only buy a campaign from the "new campaign" menu item, which gets replaced with "continue game" when a campaign is active... aka most of the time haha.

I removed the mesh renderers from the projectiles, added a quick script that raycast forward from the weapon emitter, attached the output coordinates of that to a line renderer and voila, had a beam.

Though it was solid, which I didn't want. Whats the quickest way to make a pulse? Animated UV's!

I needed a texture for that and couldn't be bothered making one, so I grabbed this sprite for infantry allies, tiled it, stretched it, and voila.

And for a little fun dev story: I was building the trailer for the game, and the footage of the lasers didn't really feel right? Big bright blobs of light firing like mini projectiles. So I decided to quickly improve those graphics.

What I wanted was to mimic something like the las effect from Dune / Dune part 2. Thin powerful lines of death.
