Heh, got an ominous email from the Home Office...

"You applied for a replacement [BRP or BRC]" (Way back in October actually...)

"Your application is void and cannot be considered. This notice explains why."

<cue panic, WTF, oh no... shit... what...?!?! 😱>

"The [...] service is now closed" (OK, I presume this is the "why", not something I've done wrong?)

"Your application will not be considered" (getting jittery again)

"Instead, you should now sign into your [UKVI] account to check that all your information and your permission is correct."

OH, RIIIIGGGHHHTTT... so what you're saying is you fucked up, and as we already suspected we can just use the eVisa system right? And we wasted all that time with forms and biometrics and junk?

I think the only way we're ever going to know for sure is to leave the UK and see if we can get back in again. 😅

It's all very "papers please"... it feels like we're a short step away from gestapo and check-points. The homelessness bit comes across as particularly dark. And if this is going to be a thing, which its existence implies, there's no way this isn't going to impact non-white-folk more than white folks.

No papers? It's off to the immigration gulag for you then!

Escape from UK🗽

#ukImmigration is totally out of control. Nearly +1M for 2 year's running , in a population of 67M in 2022.

This is giving away 3% of my children's country in just 2 years. People voted for #Brexit to stop mass #immigration, but now it's being forced on the #UK 10 fold and then they wonder why there is a #housing crisis 🤦‍♀️

No one in UK voted for this open air prison experiment. Who TF is running our country ? It's not the residents. There is literally no point voting any more, because even when you win they just shaft you harder.

The other inconvenient truth about immigration to the U.K.

It puts a strain on public services. We need more housing, health and education.

It's just a numbers thing. It's nobody's fault, certainly not the immigrants. It's the government's job to manage the increase and make sure there is enough to go round. It's the hard work they need to be doing.

It's their failures that leave the rest of us blaming each other.

Why don't they tell us this truth?
