Week 5 of #TheCompoChallenge. This week's assignment is using The Golden Spiral.
Thanks again to @hiro for organizing this challenge!
I had so much fun collecting shots, and looking at everyone else's submissions. I will be putting together a recap blog post soon.
@hiro So, I finally failed at the last task, but I will keep my eyes open. Thank you very much for this nice event. It was a lot of fun and provided inspiration. #TheCompoChallenge
I am glad to see my pictures from a different perspective and understand why I sometimes prefer one over the other. Here is my submission for the week. #TheCompoChallenge @hiro
not too sure whether or not this meets the criteria but here's my shot for the fifth and last #thecompochallenge assignment: the golden spiral.
thanks @hiro for doing this!
This week's #thecompochallenge by @hiro was, on my part, dominated by confusion. I couldn’t get my head around the concept of the golden circle. In addition, I couldn’t find time to actually go and shoot, with this concept in mind. So this week’s entries are from the archives – and I still don’t know whether they would fit at all.
In 2019 we went to Japan and also to Awaji Yumebutai by famous Japanese architect Tadao Ando. The weather was all grey but it was a great trip still. 1/2
If the #thecompochallenge of this week wasn't tough enough, sickness kept me indoors most of the time.
So I had to do it with this sunrise shot from my run on Tuesday and one from a few month ago from Antwerp, both following the golden circle/ratio.
Well, this was a difficult assignment in #TheCompoChallenge, but I think I was able to meet some of the criteria for The Golden Spiral.
By far the hardest theme for me for #TheCompoChallenge
My take on the Golden Spiral with a side of Cityscapes
It’s been a wild ride on @hiro’s #TheCompoChallenge and I thought this week’s golden spiral challenge would have finally stumped me, but the California Botanic Garden came through for me again, along with my old friend, Bruce Beasley’s Intersections 2.
I feel kinda bad that I signed up for @hiro’s #theCompoChallenge and didn’t submit a single photo—I let my other pet projects get in the way—but I commend all the folks who actually made something. Thanks to all for sharing your lovely photos!
And Pic COMEDY ENTRY of at least 3 for Week 5 of #TheCompoChallenge which is The Golden Spiral. Inspired by a conversation with Alex & Hiro (https://writing.exchange/@AlexWolfe/114183926997858480) about me not knowing what I’m doing.

The image shows an underground station, likely part of the London Underground, given the sign "Liverpool Street" at the top. It features a long escalator descending into the station, flanked by metallic walls with advertisement panels. The ceiling has a distinctive geometric, arched design with rectangular panels. Oh no I didn't realize this was the final week of #TheCompoChallenge! I need to get my butt in gear.
And the last one! Dear @hiro, thank you so much for organising #theCompoChallenge
I have had so much fun with this.
