I believe the saying goes "Don't count your chickens before the hatch."
Ah well...
(All the same, big thanks to everyone working hard Hydro and everyone else for the hard work getting things back online.)

Slowly but surely power is coming on again.
The folks across the street have their power back now.
My ETA is 11pm.
Big thank you to hard working Hydro crews, as well as to Arborists and Volunteers helping to remove downed trees and debris.
There is still plenty of work to go - I know folks that are really rural and probably won't get power until next week! - and there's the possibility of another #IceStorm on Wednesday.
Stay Safe out there!
Despite having no power I'm out doing my Meals on Wheels volunteer work, because even without power needy people still need to eat.
Keep safe and warm out there!
Encountering an interesting phenomenon while things are on hold with #IceStorm recovery:
As it warms up ice is melting off of trees and occasionally large chunks are whipped quite a distance as trees spring back to their regular shape.
Be careful out there!
Big thanks to all the Hydro crews, Arborists, and volunteers out there helping to clear roads and get the electricity up again!
Remember to call 911 if there is a downed Hydro wire.
Stay safe out there!
My power just went out.
I live in #Rural #EasternOntario where the #ONIceStorm is hitting.
I remember from the 1998 #Quebec #IceStorm how some of the households described the noises of trees snapping. I hope this isn't something like that
It looks like #HydroOne #HydroCrews have their work cut out for them.
Stay safe out there everyone!
