My “MiniShima Chelmer Quays” standalone #NewHashima display is at the Discovery Brick Show in Newcastle this weekend. More pictures to follow when the crowds have died down. #LEGO #AFOL #MOC #BlockHeadUK
My #NewHashima food court, now with added lighting! Looks rather good if I do say so myself.

Another WIP for New Hashima - Food Court plaza module. Build pretty much finished, still needs some lights.

Made a new landing pad for the D-4QP Interceptor, so that it can land one of my #NewHashima cubes. Build finished but lighting still to come.

My final contribution to #NewHashima (for now) is this topper, a modified build from two copies of Monkie Kid 80058 Celestial Pagoda. I was lucky to receive one of them to review for New Elementary but it has an open back. So I bought another copy to finish it off! I also made it modular so the top half comes off easily for transportation. I added pieces of paper from LEGO parts bags to the windows to mimic Shoji screens and soften the internal lighting. #LEGO #AFOL #BlockHeadUK
I also built a Comms Tower topper for the #NewHashima flying cae garage with lots of antennae, ariels and dishes attached to the main mast structure. There is a flashing red light on top. #LEGO #AFOL #BlockHeadUK
Next up in my #NewHashima inventory is the Frog Prince Plaza, a sculpture garden featuring a Duplo frog, along with some cogs and trees from Little Robots (yes, those metal trees are real LEGO). The disturbing sculpture at the front is called “Womb” and has a creepy Belville Baby suspended in a transparent bubble. The stuff of nightmares!! #LEGO #AFOL #BlockHeadUK
My latest #NewHashima cube was a very quick build to make a warehouse for the quayside. It uses some unusual elements - there’s a whole wall built from #Modulex (the chevron), while the big doors are made of 8 short pieces of old Monorail track - they have so much texture underneath that I wanted to show it off! There seems to be some sort of biohazard incident going on along another wall. The final side is relatively plain as it buts up against another cube. #LEGO #AFOL #BlockHeadUK
My secror of #NewHashima also needs some entertainment! This is the Pink Parrot Club, an exclusive venue punping out the latest techno beats at full volume! If you can get a ticket, it’s quite an experience #LEGO #AFOL #BlockHeadUK
After building 3 different residential cubes for #NewHashima, I thought it was time to build something more utilitarian. This is my Industrial cube with power generators, storage tanks, pipes, six huge fans and various bits of random greebling. It used parts in two of my favourite LEGO colours, Sand Red and Sand Purple (both now retired). #LEGO #AFOL #BlockHeadUK
I built another #NewHashima residential cube, Container Apartments, inspired by parts from 60417 Police Speedboat and Crooks' Hideout. This provided the colour scheme for the corrugated panels and new window grilles, which I thought would look like sunshade shutters. The Satin Trans Clear windows came from 80109 Lunar New Year Ice Festival. The designs for vending machines came from folks in the New Hashima Bricking Bavaria Discord chat. #LEGO #AFOL #BlockHeadUK
Next up in my collection of #NewHashima cubes is the Fortrex Fish Tank. I decided I was going to build an aquarium and thought it needed a castle in the middle, like some fish tanks have. And the most cyberpunk castle I could think of was from Nexo Knights, so I MOC’d from a partial copy of 70317. Then added loads of aquatic creatures! #LEGO #AFOL #BlockHeadUK
The third cube I made for #NewHashima was to a basic design by Barrie Crossan who invited others to build more to make a bigger stack. Coral Condos uses the VIDIYO Beatbox bases for balconies with lots of my own customisation. #LEGO #AFOL #BlockHeadUK
The second #NewHashima cube I built was a garage and service station for my flying car. I love the Satin Trans Purple elements. Fortunately they were cheap to pick up on Bricklink even though they have only been in a couple of sets. The landing pad hangs down below the cube bottom so it’s difficult to photograph when the cube is not sitting on another one below. The pad is a bit fragile and needs a rebuild after it travels anywhere #LEGO #AFOL #BlockHeadUK
Here is a closer look at the first cube I built for #NewHashima - Scala Apartments. Featuring old salmon pink diamond panels from the SCALA theme, and the white textured pillars were from a Jack Stone set. On the ground floor is a Cat Café, gem store, hardware store, Off Licence (liquor store) and the bins, complete with a trash panda and stairs up to the apartments above.
