I slept in!

I got dressed in a hurry, put on my heavy boots & went outside to feed the #MudBrothers & their groupies. (The alpacas & the lambs)

As I was getting the crushed lupins ready, they stood at their gate & gave me the hairy eyeball.

All except Ozzie, who is pretty deaf & was off eating grass - but he did come running when he saw me moving in with the feed.

1° Celsius when I fed them.

We’ve been out & about. More bales of lucerne ordered but we missed today’s delivery.

So the #MudBrothers are eating carrots & lupins & the #lambs are eating just lupins.

Things are looking greener in their paddock each day. Thank you rain!

Last night & so far today, my back keeps going into spasms.

I fed the #MudBrothers (the #alpacas & #Wiltipoll #lambs) about 2 hours ago & my back is still giving me hell for it. Nurse! #Painkillers - stat!

The better half & I have emptied out our #recyclebin too - all the #aluminium cans from there are bagged & ready for another trip to the automated #recycle machine.

Why give them away to the shire contractor if you can get cash for them?

A break in the rain so I went out & fed the #MudBrothers & their flock.

Mission a success but my #asthma had to raise it’s head & make itself known.

My better half has been at her sister’s this weekend.

Sister-in-law was admitted to hospital again last week & needed the better half to pick her up on release & monitor her for a day.

While at home though, she’s been feeding the #MudBrothers when I can’t & looking after me as well.

The dizzies aren’t so bad today, so I thought I’d cook dinner for her - she normally just grabs #KFC on her way home from nursing her sister.

Nap time.

The #MudBrothers & #lambs have been fed.

The ground is very boggy & slippery now, I went skidding a few times.

I don’t think I need to check their water troughs.

But they are fed, I’m back inside. My shoes are soaked - I should have worn my boots.

Still raining, no cars driving by, very quiet outside.

Ah well…

I haven’t fed the #alpacas & #lambs yet.

I’ll wait another 10 minutes for the better half to take her work from home lunch break.

That way, if I damage myself somehow feeding the #MudBrothers (again) I’ll have help at hand.

Another truckload of #lucerne arrived this morning.

#Lambs & #alpacas are loving it.

This morning I fed them some #lucerne & #poppedlupins.

Just now I gave the #MudBrothers some more carrots (the huge, long ones #Woolies sell as #TheOddBunch. I slice lengthwise & each big carrot becomes 4.) & another bale of lucerne.

Chaser pictured, eating something like his 12th carrot of the day. So far. (He’s ignoring the newest bale of lucerne & hoping for more #carrots.)

I just returned from feeding the #MudBrothers & the #lambs.

As I came through the gate they rushed towards me - normal.

Ozzie (the older, white #alpaca) then spotted I had a bucket of crushed lupins on me.

He reared up on his hind legs & then head butted my shoulder! Not normal.

I’m not that stable on my legs at the best of times & his head butt sent me into the fence.

#NotHappy.

Woke this morning with my left leg twisted under me.

As a result of awkward sleeping, my left knee is giving me hell again.

I took some pain meds & was waiting for them to kick in when the neighbour’s kids & their visiting friends (school holidays) asked if they could feed the #lambs & #alpacas.

I’d already cut up a couple of kilos of carrots for the alpacas, so the kids were very excited about hand feeding the #MudBrothers & the lambs got to feed on the crushed lupins.

The #alpacas & #lambs this chilly morning.

I’m guessing the #MudBrothers have been eyeing off that new truckload of #lucerne since it arrived yesterday. So I tried to frame them with it as I walked towards them.
