Man, I would LOVE the upcoming #JacobGeller book, How a Game Lives, but there's no way in hell I could afford it.

Even the basic edition is CDN $86, and shipping is guaranteed to be a nightmare. From a reply on Reddit by someone at #LostInCult , saying shipping "is already admittedly too much for customers" I'm guessing it's in the CDN $35 range at least.

A shame, it looks brilliant. But you need some disposable income for this one.

I started paying for a Nebula.tv subscription a few months back as a way to support #JacobGeller, #münecat, #AdamNeely, and other video creators more directly.

As #youtube continues to think I have an ad-blocker enabled, I'm looking to move my video viewing over to Nebula. I just need more suggestions on who to follow.

Who are your favorite Nebula video makers? Jacob Geller is one of my faves.

NebulaJacob GellerTalking about video games, architecture, politics, empathy, and more- typically at the same time, always unpredictably.

I keep forgetting to post about this, but a few weeks ago on an impulse I caught this essay on Nebula from Jacob Geller on 'Art in the Pre-Apocalypse'.

It's (imo) beautifully put together and told, looking at differences in pre- and post-apocalypse media, and how their greater meaning intersects with our current societal collapse.

I'm unsure the interest in long-form content here, and with free time being scarce, but I share it in case.

I like to listen to long-form video essays on YouTube while I'm doing jobs around the house. But Christ Almighty, the frequency of the ads lately has made it all but unbearable, so I've been using Nebula. I've been subscribing to it for a couple of years. It's run by and for creators, and it really shows. Here's the story of how they got started.
