Rubin's new translation of this classic Murakami re-discovering the story in compelling ways: a must for Murakami fans!

I've noticed I've been reading a lot more lately. I think its providing an escape from this dystopian cesspool that is 'Murica at the moment.

Last month I finished a Murakami novel (Killing Commendatore) and now I'm wrapping up the first book in The Dandelion Dynasty (The Grace of Kings). Killing Commendatore was enthralling and I love how Murakami puts these rather boring main characters into Kafka-esque worlds and scenarios. Not to mention the music selection is great. First time I ever listened to opera music and read a novel.

Currently hooked on the Dandelion Dynasty and plan on reading the rest of the series. I discovered Ken Liu as he translated Cixin Liu's The Three Body Problem series (also highly recommend) and I finally started reading his works. Great start so far.

If you have any suggestions on what I should add to the queue, send them over!

The new translation is an exciting and illuminating refresh of the former work.
