Spain shuns US F-35 jets as tensions grow with Washington.

Spain is opting to replace its ageing fleet with European military aircraft rather than the US F-35 fighter jet, as tensions over defence and foreign policy strain Madrid’s relations with Washington.

“The Spanish option consists of the current Eurofighter and the Future Combat Air System in the future,” the Spanish defence ministry told the Financial Times.

The U.S. dominates, or tries to dominate, the world economy through the control of intellectual property, especially software, and military power. The #Trump regime now threatens many countries with trade penalties unless they increase military spending, knowing full-well that the U.S. is the world's largest arms exporter - by far. I reckon that Europe, will, in the face of threats closer to home, develop and extend its own military, through things like the #Eurofighter and drone technology like #Ukraine"s.
#Australia should abandon #Aukus and align more with the #EU. The world must now isolate itself from the U.S. which has become a rogue state.
The largest software companies, predominantly U.S. companies. are mostly are now complicit with the worst policies of the #Trump madness.
