Well, it’s almost 7:30 AM, I’m nauseated, so I’ve been doing some light reading.
And it appears that there are more people who also said “fuck it” to systems in play going on in the world right now and are also rolling with the punches while trying to build better ways of doing things. One of those people is English professor Jem Bendell. I’m not sure yet if I agree with everything he’s doing/believes in (but then again, do you ever?) because I’m still exploring and contemplating all that he has to say, but he did publish a fascinating piece on his site back in February 2024 about deep adaptation to climate crisis, massive social change, and collapse, and how sometimes saying fuck it and making a huge life change in light of all of that is the least risky option.
Given everything that’s going on politically here in the States, I think it’s well worth the read and to do some thinking about, even if you don’t agree with most or all of what he says.

Ok. I'm gonna get a pristine brand new walker ("walking frame") just to get mobile again after I broke my friggin good ankle - just for symmetry reasons, because the cerebral palsy on the left side felt lonely.
Please suggest how I could improve and enhance the walking frame! Have 3D printer, willing to abuse it.
What I already have on my mind:

People don’t realize this is ableist bigotry. Disabled people aren’t practice kits for society at large to learn to be "better" people. Anyone can become disabled at any time. Illness and accidents, even intentional acts, can all lead to a person becoming disabled.
i am genuinly worried about the changes bill shorten wants to introduce to ndis they are being dressed up as “helping disabled people” and “making the ndis more flexible” but its actually reducing how much money plans have and reducing what we can do with funding, treating ndis as a business. not to mention dehumanizing disabled people by requiring regular checkins to prove you are still disabled enough i mean “assess if you still need supports”

i love sci-fi, music, some horror, being kvlt, most sciences, video games, history, & my longterm partner david. we're pretty similar but they can handle more horror. they works in a library & plays electric guitar. they also really got me into metal.
for daily drivers, i use a 2015 13" macbook air, a samsung galaxy a34, & a 5th generation ipad air. i also have a 3,1 mac pro & a thinkpad x201 that i use semi-regularly.
in terms of politics, i'm a social anarchist, country borders need to be abolished, & acab all day every day. :))))
So the two canes thing is currently working pretty well for me, based on 2 days of testing. So I'm just going to keep adding canes until walking is no problem at all for me, that's how that works
