Dunedin cat owners... does anyone's cat use Hill's Urinary Care cat food? Since my cat departed, the rest of this 3.85kg bag is surplus to my needs.
My scales weigh the remaining product at 2.54kg (including bag) which means it’s around two thirds full. These cost a humungous $143.85 from Pet Doctors but it’s looking for a good home for a bargain $50. Or barter with me.
Note: this is veterinary-prescribed food and is not suitable as general cat food.
can anyone help for some catfood

From the article: "New guidance addresses the risk of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (H5N1) in uncooked or unpasteurized cat and dog food ingredients derived from poultry or cattle."

Anyone else out there making their own cat food? We are transitioning away from a raw diet because of the H5N1 issues. Do you have any tips?
I've found a few veterinarian approved recipes that look to be solid. Do you have a preferred vitamin mix that you use in Canada?
All kind of new.
Recall issued for pet food for possible bird flu contamination
Another Popular #CatFood Recalled by #FDA Due to #BirdFlu Dangers (#NorthWestNaturals and #MonarchRawPetFood)
Story by Allison Blair, January 6, 2025
"If your cat has eaten the affected pet food (or raw food in general) and you're concerned about bird flu, speak to your vet. Some signs of infections include:
Discharge/crusty eyes or nose.
Lethargy.
Loss of appetite.
Seizures or tremors.
"After you throw away your affected food, you should continue to monitor your cat closely for a few weeks: bird flu symptoms can take days to show up, and it's highly contagious. So far, however, no people who came in contact with infected food (or allegedly infected food) have come down with the virus, but you should continue to monitor your own symptoms as well."
