elasticStageNot My America - elasticStageI have always had a deep affection for America despite not being American. Growing up in the 70s and 80s, I was immersed in American culture through movies, TV shows, music and video games. These experiences left a lasting impression on me and I've always felt a strong connection to that country.
Over the years I've had the pleasure of visiting the United States numerous times, forging friendships with many wonderful Americans so its been heart-wrenching to witness from afar the deterioration of this once great nation, the land of free. The past several years have been marked by unrest, racism and fascism, and has been a truly painful spectacle to observe.
In response to the distressing events unfolding in America, I did the only thing I knew how to do - I channelled all my emotions into music. This album is a reflection of my feelings about the once-great nation. While it may not change much, I needed to express my anguish and share it with the world.
I want to thank you for listening to this music. Please play these songs loud for everyone to hear and let's all hope that America can overcome this tumultuous time.
Was actually able to grab a couple things for #BandcampFriday today. Wanted to support some small artists- purchases today go towards helping with the California wildfires, too.

Just came across this today: self-described #Anarchist, #Antifascist, Depressive Black Metal project from #Rojava.
Basic machine translation of project info: "depressive musical entity, born from a world without hope,
we have no gender, no beliefs, no name, no values, just the love of a cause. ANARCHY"

GRM performed as COLDSORE with an array of their self build METSÄÄN MACHINES, namely the Musique Concrète Platform (bowed, plugged, stroked and scratched), Dirty Drone synth, ANAPHYLAXIS filter + some EHX pedals. Beware: This is the most 'dark ambient' recording of COLDSORE this far.
Before the instrumental set, GRM made a short rather abstract vocal intro about noise, traffic, communication, transparency, responsibility, disruption of deeply engraved patterns of social behavior and complicity.
And asked the audience to talk more about normalisation + disruption!
